Recycling of Farm Plastics
Green Ant Plastic Recycling offer a wide range of plastic recycling services across the UK, including farm plastic recycling.
We are interested particularly in the HDPE Chemical Containers and PP Fertiliser sacks but may also be able to offer disposal services for silage wrap and crop cover. Pleas contact us for further information.
We are ideally looking for load weights of your farm plastic waste of over 5 tonnes with a 3 tonne minimum. The higher the weight of the load the lower the average cost of the haulage to collect them and therefore the more value we can rebate back to you.
HDPE Chemical containers must be triple rinsed and should have the caps removed. PP Fertiliser bags should be empty of fertiliser. There is no need to remove the PE liner from the bags if they have them. Ideally if you can bale the HDPE Containers and PP bags (separately) the load weight will improve and will help increase the rebate we can pay for your farm plastics.
If you have silage wrap or crop cover available then we may be able to help but it is likely that a gatefee will apply to take this material in.
UK Wide Collections
Using an extensive network of plastic recycling associates across the UK, we are able to offer UK wide collections of your plastic farm waste for recycling.
Green Ant are committed to the environment and by using our network of plastic recycling associates rather than one farm plastics recycling facility, we can minimise the environmental impact and carbon footprint of transporting and recycling your plastics.
Using plastic recycling facilities that are as close to the collection point as possible and by optimising the volume of plastics collected on each vehicle is not only more environmentally friendly but means we can often collect smaller volumes of plastics than other larger plastic recycling companies.
